To ensure a perfect bond, every sheet metal undergoes a thorough 7-stage wash system before the powder paint is applied. Beneath the sturdy and attractive finish, the galvanized metal provides superior rust prevention for many years of reliable service.

Under normal conditions, there is no need for fans to combat drafting problems. This heater has been designed to draft naturally in outdoor installations, thanks to its exclusive low-profile design. It has been thoughtfully and carefully designed to protect itself from the things that tend to stifle ordinary pool and spa heaters. All-Copper-Fin-Tube Heat Exchanger

The heat exchanger's fin tubes are created from a single piece of extruded copper, utilizing an integral-fin design to provide maximum heat transfer that is both attained and sustained. Additionally, Raypak employs thick stainless steel tube sheets to ensure durable construction and rust-free operation.

Controls

The Raypak 156 is equipped with the company's proprietary AFT digital control, which is responsible for the heater's safety functions, electronic ignition, and flame supervision. The control is state-of-the-art, providing diagnostic reporting and fault recording. The same control is used in Raypak's larger gas pool heaters, ensuring the best performance for the model 156. The electronic ignition system requires external power from either 120VAC or 240VAC and generates a pilot only when there is a call for heat. The unit comes with a 3-foot, 3-prong power cord for easy setup.

Automatic Bypass

The Raypak 156 model is equipped with a water bypass system, which allows it to handle a variety of water flow rates without requiring manual adjustments. The bypass system also helps maintain a consistent flow rate through the tubes, which helps prevent condensation caused by cold water.

Burner Tray

Our burner trays are designed for durability, with stainless steel burner decks and aluminized metals in heat-sensitive areas. The tray is easily removable for servicing.

Fire Tile

A combustion box made of ceramic fiber ensures that your heater runs efficiently while keeping the external jacket cool. This high-tech material prevents the heater from retaining residual heat after it is turned off, eliminating the need for expensive metal heat sinks during installation.

Power Cord

To make installation easy and cost-effective, both the 106 and 156 models are equipped with a factory-wired three-prong 120V electrical cord. In case you want to use the 240V power from your equipment pad, you can simply remove the power cord and rewire the voltage transformer for 240V operation. Raypak has provided a solution to cater to your needs.
