TriStar® VS 950 variable-speed pump is the newest addition to the family of the most energy-efficient variable-speed in-ground residential pumps on the market, according to EPA ENERGY STAR third-party testing data. This pool pump has been upgraded with a chemical-resistant Viton® seal and a 1-year warranty. And like all TriStar VS pumps, TriStar VS 950 can save up to 90% on energy costs, an average of $1500 per year, compared with traditional single-speed units.

Product Overview
Hayward variable-speed pool pumps are some of the most energy efficient pool pumps on the market. The TriStar VS 950 is designed to replace most high performance pumps up to 3 HP. The TriStar is upgraded with a viton pump seal that provides improved resistance against chemical. The Hayward TriStar comes with a standard 1-year warranty
Starting on July 18th, 2021, all in-ground pool pumps will be required to meet new energy conservation standards set by the Department of Energy (DOE). The most important measure for these new regulations will be the pool pump’s weighted energy factor (WEF). The WEF is similar to miles per gallon for a car. The efficiency of a swimming pool pump can be measured in WEF. The higher the WEF, the more efficient the pool pump.
